Power Shift Flash Dance for Fill the Hill
The Power Shift Flash Mob Dance will be an exciting toe-tapping attention-grabbing five minutes of fun in the middle of the Fill the Hill event. The number is a compilation of topical songs… Brand New Day, Start the Commotion, Staying Alive, and Last Chance. The plan to have everyone get comfortable with the dance moves via youtube (the super-top-secret dance and dance tutorials can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/user/jmk9144#p/u )… everyone can then come out for some in-person brush-up on Friday the 23. We will rehearse en masse saturday morning before heading to Fill the Hill.
Volunteering During Power Shift:
if you would like to volunteer during the event please contact volunteer@powershiftcanada.org
If you have already signed up to volunteer, please pay attention to your inbox – you will be receiving an email with more detailed info soon!
Don’t forget to tell your friends about Power Shift!
If we are going to forge the kind of youth movement for climate justice that will effect change in this country, as youth movements are doing around the world, then we need to start with 1000 people in Ottawa, at Power Shift. Just like what happened in the US, UK, and Australia. Make sure your friends are part of this historic event. Reduced registration until Sunday – spread the world!
Get Some Media
Reminder that we’ll send you a Press Release that you can send to local media to make sure everyone knows why YOU’RE going to Power Shift Canada. We want everyone to know that youth are mobilizing like never before for climate action and we expect the government to take our lead.
Things to bring:
You should bring a packed dinner for Friday night, a pillow or something to sit on because the venue is standing room only.
Don’t forget to bring a Green Shirt for Lobby Day and Fill the Hill!
If you are from outside of Ontario, you may want to bring some warm clothing.
